Adam W. Cowlishaw is Head of Marketing and Digital at Johnson & Johnson MedTech (Vision), shaping the future of lifelong eye health in Singapore. As a multiple award-winning marketer who draws on extensive leadership experiences across Europe and Asia, Adam has maintained a career-long passion for data, analytics, and digital, and is drawn to the challenge of using data to derive new insights that can unlock better customer experiences and improved patient outcomes.

Originally from the UK, Adam started out as a Business Analyst in the National Health Service, developing longstanding expertise in data science and analytics after completing his postgraduate degree. A passion for digital and innovation ultimately led Adam to the private sector where he joined Boots UK as Head of Digital Marketing. During this time, he oversaw demand generation for the ecommerce business, delivering accelerated growth for the UK’s most-loved health and beauty retailer.

As a global citizen, Adam went on to gain global exposure in 2016 as Group Marketing Director (APAC) for a venture-capital-backed animal healthcare group based in Hong Kong, before relocating to Singapore where he oversaw marketing, sales, and operations as Marketing and Sales Director (SEA) for a personal care distributor, driving channel expansion strategies across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.

Throughout his career, Adam’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion has underscored his focus on building high-performing teams, and since 2021 he has been co-lead of Open&Out at Johnson & Johnson; an employee resource group focused on creating a safer and more inclusive workplace for LGBTQIA+ colleagues across the enterprise.
